Repaired or Overhauled Equipment

L-3 Avionics Systems manufactures, repairs and overhauls equipment using the finest materials and components available. L-3 Avionics Systems warrants these products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for which they are intended for the following periods from the date of shipment by L-3 Avionics Systems:

AIM Product Line
1. Electrical or Mechanical Repairs; ninety (90) days on parts and labor portions of the unit repair.
2. Electrical or Mechanical Overhaul and exchange units twelve (12) months.

All Other Product Lines
1. Electrical or mechanical repairs; one hundred eighty (180) days on parts and labor portions of the unit repair.
2. Mechanical overhaul and exchange units twelve (12) months.
3. Electrical exchange unit twelve (12) months.

L-3 Avionics Systems will repair or replace (at L-3 Avionics Systems' discretion) the material found defective and returned within the warranty period.

The transportation charges are to be prepaid to L-3 Avionics Systems, Grand Rapids, Michigan, or an authorized agency. The costs of shipping, removal and installations must be paid by the customer.

The warranty is void if the unit shows abuse, alterations, broken seals, improper installation, or improper packaging for shipment.

The warranty does not apply to any units received for repair with an evaluation of "No Fault Found" (NFF). All unwarranted removals will be subject to a bench check fee.

THE WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR INTENDED PURPOSE. THE OBLIGATION AND RESPONSIBILITY OF L-3 AVIONICS SYSTEMS FOR, OR WITH RESPECT TO, DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT (WHETHER UNDER CONTRACT NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, TORT OR OTHERWISE) WILL BE LIMITED TO THAT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN AND L-3 AVIONICS SYSTEMS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR OTHER DAMAGE OR EXPENSE WHATSOEVER THEREFOR OR BY REASON THEREOF.

L-3 Avionics Systems reserves the right to make changes in design, additions to, or improvements in its equipment without obligation to install such additions or improvements in equipment theretofore manufactured.
